WOW i love you guys I found this on Irishcountrykitchen.com

I hope it is what you are looking for!!

450g of minced beef
1 tablespoon of olive oil
2 medium sized chopped onions
75g chopped carrots
1 teaspoon of thyme
1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
1 tablespoon of plain flour
275ml of beef stock
1 tablespoon of tomato puree
Salt and pepper
900g of potatoes
50g of butter
Method
Heat the olive oil and fry the onions for about 5 minutes and then add the chopped carrots and continue frying for an additional 5 minutes. Then remove the vegetables from the frying pan.
Increase the heat on the frying pan and cook the beef in batches and afterwards season with salt and pepper and add the vegetables along with thyme and parsley.
Stir in the flour and gradually add the beef stock to the mixture. Then add the tomato puree and reduce the heat and allow mixture to cook for 30 minutes.
Peel and boil the potatoes and sprinkle with salt. After about 25 minutes the potatoes should be ready and at this point mash them and add butter.
When the meat is ready put it into a baking dish and spread the mashed potato on top. Now bake for a further 25 minutes until golden and crispy on top. Source(s):
IrishCountryKitchen.com i ate shepherds pie at my scottish friends house and she gave me this recipe. i love it because very easy and delicious.

* 2 cups cooked chopped leftover roast lamb
* 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
* 2 cups lamb gravy
* salt and pepper
* 2 cups mashed potato, prepared with milk and seasonings as desired
* salt and pepper
* 1/8 teaspoon paprika
* 1 tablespoon butter

PREPARATION:
Combine meat, gravy, and chopped onion; season with salt and pepper to taste. Line the bottom of a buttered baking dish with a layer of half of the seasoned mashed potatoes. Add meat mixture then cover with remaining mashed potatoes. Or, meat and gravy can be put in the baking dish first then topped with all of the mashed potatoes. Dot mashed potato topping with butter, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika, then bake for about 30 minutes at 400°, or until potato topping is browned and the Shepherd's pie is thoroughly heated. *********Shepard’s Pie is a really easy recipe to conjure up. I'm enclosing the simplified version so you can make it with ease and comfort:

1 sirloin steak cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1 package frozen stewing veggies, thawed
2 jars beef gravy
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef broth
2 Yukon gold potatoes
3 T butter
1/4 - 1/2 cup milk, heated
salt and pepper to taste

Season meat with salt and pepper and brown in skillet with a little olive oil. Brown onion and remove. In mixing bowl, place meat, onion, veggies, gravy, and beef broth. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and place in baking dish. Dice Yukon gold potatoes and boil in salted water until fork tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, and salt and pepper. Top meat mixture with potatoes and dot with butter. You can also add some shredded cheddar cheese as well if you want. Bake for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven, or until golden brown and bubbling. The classic french recipe for shepherd's pie just calls for seasoned ground beef layered with mashed potatoes and cheese.
