Answers: Yes you butter the outside so it doesn't stick and you don't butter the inside. Tasty as well Yes you are, but I prefer not to as they are crunchier. It depends whether or not the machine is already seasoned or non- stick. for best results use butter. But put it on the bread only. yes, it is better, but not too much! if you want that buttery taste,But no you don't have too... yes I do. You can do either that or use a basting brush to brush on melted butter / vegetable oil on the toasting surfaces of the sandwich machine. The aim really is to make your sandwich nice and evenly crispy on the outside.
