How do you make your sandwich?!
How do you make your sandwich?
I've just been wondering how other people like to make their sandwiches
Answers: My rule for sandwiches is this-
If it is NOT a Grilled Cheese sandwich, it should have EITHER Peanut Butter or Mayo. So there are basically 3 kinds of sandwiches; the Grilled Cheese sandwich, those with Peanut Butter, and those with Mayo. In my opinion, PB does NOT mix with Mayo, although I knew a girl from Harrisonburg who ate PB&Mayo sandwiches (her Grandpa's receipe). The reason Grilled Cheese does not need either PB or Mayo is that the cheese should be pressed between 2 peices of bread and fried in Butter. Butter pan toasted wheat bread, pan fried roast beef(no oil), and BBQ sauce. My friend makes these big sandwiches, he toasts two slices of white bread,
put mayonnaise on both slices,
puts bologna on both sides,
lettuce on top of both,
cheese on top of those,
maybe ketchup, and then put it together... well i get two pieces of white bread if im not dieting, i put mayonnaise on both sides also if im not dieting lol, then i add lettuce on one bread, slice of low fat cheese on the other and tomato in the middle so it doesn't go soggy. if i've made chicken schnitzel ill put that inbetween the lettuce and the tomato and ill also add tomato sauce because im a sauce addict. if im dieting it wholemeal bread with tomato and lettuce i know boring. Hello:
Here is how I make my Turkey sandwich:
Two pieces of white bread
Two pieces of turkey
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Miracle Whip
I also like:
Two pieces of white bread
Two or three pieces of bacon
Lettuce
Tomato
Miracle Whip
This is how I make a BLT. With Ciabatta, hard salami, havarti and horseradish mustard, thank you.
Hm....and then there is good old PB and J. I guess it depends on what kind of sandwich I feel like having. My favorite is grilled cheese with tomato, grilled in butter till it's golden brown and gooey. I am not a great lover of lettuce in my sandwich (although I love salads) so when I make a sandwich with meat (chicken breast or turkey) I use toasted wheat bread, salad dressing, pepper, and sliced tomato. If I am in the mood for Italian, I use a hard roll, genoa salami, prociutto, and capacola (all Italian meats,) sliced provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, sliced onion, sliced black olives and drizzle it all with Italian dressing. Now that's what I call a sandwich! If I have time and the "fixins"..I like ham and turkey slices with wheat bread and mayo. lettuce tomato and 1 slice of red onion. If I don't have the time..a big glob of peanut butter and some grape jelly on any kind of bread makes a great sandwich. It depends on what you want. I always use wheat bread, usually turkey, lettuce, tomato, and miracle whip (low fat). oh, I always toast it.
Another favorite of mine is tuna. I love tuna with tomato, onion and miracle whip. again, toasted. I toast 2 slices of sourdough bread.
Mustard on one side, mayo on the other.
Layer lettuce, tomato (preferably heirloom), veggie patty, cheese (cheddar or havarti) and red onion.
Yummy. I like turkey and mustard, but what's also good,
peanut butter, jelly, and butter
jelly and cream cheese
jelly and butter
peanut butter and banana and honey
