Answers: According to my dehydrator book you should not go above 130 degree Fahrenheit.
One problem you will have with the oven is a lack of air circulation consequently you have to move your racks quite often. I suggest if you start dehydrating get a dehydrator you will love it. One of my favorite things is granny Smith apples sprinkle with dry sugar free cherry or Strawberry Jell-O, bananas are addicting, I even make turkey jerky. you can make your own Potato Chips out of mashed potatoes and corn chips out of canned corn:
Go to dehydrator Recipes on this website. Source(s):
http://www.nesco.com/products/product.ph... As low as your oven will go for several hours. 200 degree F for about 2 hours - flip every 30 mins. I cut mine up on the mandoline and place on a wire rack ( the one I use to cool cakes on ) in the oven at 110 degrees C and I just give it an hour and then depending upon the veg or fruit keep checking every 10 minutes after that until they are done. Dis glazed carrots this weekend for a topping to a carrot cake - took only an hour. Sorry "Wooderson" I disagree.

My temperature would be 190.
