Side for lasagna?!
Answers: Whats a good side to serve with Lasagna besides bread and salad. Thanks!
Stuffed Mushrooms
Sauteed veggies with Italian spices (oregano, basil, garlic)
Calamari
But I'd just take the salad and bread myself. :)
chips and onion rings mmmmmmm
Fried zuchinni
I don't really think it needs a side...some people serve it with chips...i guess it depends how hungry you are! I would just serve it with a different kind of bread to make it more interesting like foccacia or something....there are lots of nice breads like this sold in the supermarkets and they are very tasty. Good luck
Steamed carrots and broccoli. A three bean salad with Italian seasonings would be a nice break from green salad.
Maybe a nice soup? Minestrone perhaps? You don't really need a side for lasagna.. It is a meal in itself.

How about baby broccoli with garlic? Kids might like this gently flavored veggie, also called broccolini. If you can't find it at the market, use regular broccoli.
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon(s) (plus 1 teaspoon per tablespoon) olive oil
4 medium bunches of broccolini, ends trimmed
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
2 clove(s) garlic, crushed with press
DIRECTIONS
1. In deep 12-inch skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat. Add broccolini or broccoli and salt; cook 4 minutes, tossing vegetables to coat well.
2. Add garlic and remaining 1 teaspoon oil, and cook 1 minute longer, stirring.
3. Add 3 tablespoons water; cook broccoli 2 minutes longer or until tender-crisp.

For the first course I would serve a nice brothy but yet meaty soup -
For a side to accompany the lasagna I would go with a nice colourful salad and some fresh warm bread. Change it up each time you serve the dish - one time use a German blackbread and bake it in the oven with some fresh garlic and butter until semi-crisp, another time try some homemade bead bread, or a loaf of fresh galric bread.....
Good luck
A CEASAR SALAD IS THE BEST!!!! AND GARLIC BREAD WITH SPRINKLED PARMESAN CHEESE!
I always serve it with Garlic Bread and salad. Seems to be a winning mix :)
