What is a 1.5 quart casserole? Is it a 8x8?!
Answers: I hate it when recipes tell me how many quarts of a casserole....I have 2 pans a 9x13 and a square 8x8 both great pyrex baking pans. So if the recipe says 1.5 quart casserole....is that just my 8x8? Thanks...this is making me mad today.
Pyrex tells you the volume of its pans and casserole dishes. Look for it stamped into the underside of one of the handles, or on the base. I believe the 8x8 is 2 quarts. You may not have a 1.5 quart casserole, but it'll probably be fine in the 8x8
The reason recipes don't give precise inches is that there are many different shapes of casserole that could be the right volume.
Pour 6 cups of water in your 8x8. If it doesn't run over, it will work. If it does run over, use the 9X13.

i just looked at my dishes and.....
a bread pan is 1.5 qt. - 5.25x2.75"
8x8 is 2 qt. - but you could probably use it anyway (depending on what you're making)
Isn't that a casserole dish that will hold six pints of liquid ?
4 pints = 1 quart + .5 = another 2. Making six in total.
