What's a good way to beef up butternut squash soup to use as a main course?!

Question: I'd like to make a good butternut squash soup - but I need to to be more of a "main dish"/standalone kind of feel. Any good ways to beef it up or additions I can make? Thanks!

I have added some links to more filling soup recipes however I have also added turkey sausage to squash soup before to great appeal (the last link is a soup that turkey sausage would taste good in)
you can also serve toasted bread or french bread along with a fresh salad.
I would add Halloween shaped pasta, bacon bits and Mrs. Dash 10 minute Lemon Herb Peppercorn marinade.
I don't know what your recipe calls for, but I put some shredded carrots, finely chopped onions and celery in my recipe. It just makes the soup a little thicker. And at the end, after the soup has been cooked and pureed, I add some sour cream. That helps too.
What about adding you favorite veggies ( veggies that go with butternut squash, probably like corn, carrots, not sure what else) to it and then serving it with a good crusty french or itailan bread.
Add fall veggies to it, and sprinkle on some shredded cheese and parsley right before serving to add some pizzaz to it.
Serve it with a really hearty crusty bread
stir in some crispy bacon bits, some croutons and some spinash! yayyyyyyyy!
Squash soup should really be smooth, so I would argue against adding lots of chunky stuff or meats. You can make it very rich by adding heavy cream or a big dollop of sour cream when serving. If you want meat, maybe you can serve the soup with a nice salad containing chicken or slices of grilled steak.
i think you already said it

fry some beef chunks in a pan and put them in your soup
