Best way to cook t-bone steaks. We rarely have these & I don't want to ruin them!!?!

Question: Last time I had good steak was years ago! Should I broil them or what would you do? They are fairly good size steaks, but a little thin, if that makes a difference?

My family are steak eaters. I have a few good ideas for steak, if you like the flavor of steak.

First, let the steak come to room temp. Don't season them until you are ready to cook them. Then either turn your grill or oven up to the highest temp that you can. I don't have a grill, so I turn my oven up to broil. Right before you are about to put your steak in the oven season with salt and pepper. That's it. Put your steak in the broiler and let it cook about 1 minute per lb. Turn it over with tongs, not a fork, you don't want to puncture the meat. Then turn and let it cook for about 2 minutes per lb. Take the meat out and let it sit on the counter for about 5 minutes. It will finish cooking on the counter with the heat. You should have a nice medium rare steak that is juicy but not bloody.
Broil or george forman. watch for slight browness if they are thin and darker if they are thicker.
Grill them or fry them up.
grill or broil
The best way to cook them is to grill them over coals, but if you can't do that, you can broil them. Frying is also an option, it's good too, I hope these recipes help and enjoy!!

- BONE STEAK

1 T - bone steak
1/2 onion
1/2 bell pepper

Season steak to desired taste. Place steak in heated frying pan. Cook to one's desire: well done or medium rare. Cut bell pepper and onion over steak and let saute.

GRILLED T - BONE STEAKS FLORENTINE

Blend the first 6 ingredients in a shallow pan. Add steaks, turning to coat both sides. Let marinate at least 1 hour. Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Drain steaks and sprinkle with salt. Place the steaks on the grill rack and cook to desired doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Serve immediately. 2 servings; can be doubled or tripled.

BROILED STEAK WITH GARLIC

Place steak in deep pan or bowl. Add fresh garlic, vinegar, and oil. Generously sprinkle each side with garlic powder and chili powder. Marinate 2 hours turning over once. Place under boiler and cook to desired doneness. Pour juices and garlic pieces over the top of steak when serving.
I grill them outside, gives them good flavor. My mom does hers inside on the broiler and has had great success. Season before cooking if you like. I use a bit of pepper only.
Salt and pepper them , bring them to room temp preheat broiler, broil 2 minutes a side with broiler set to middle rack in oven . Remove and check meat is med at about 145F deg I don't know what thickness "A little thin " is Buts its all about meat temp not time!! Good luck.
Seasoned well and let sit a while before grilling. I use garlic, onion powder, kosher salt, pepper.

Since they're thin, don't overcook them. 3 to 5 minutes on each side, tops.

Enjoy!
Salt and pepper, and grill, or broil to your liking. Baked potato and a salad complete the meal.
grill them rub some dry spices on them and grill
Good steaks are never thin If it' not at least 1 1/4 in thick it's not a steak. Cook this this bargain steak in a lot of liquid
I use a cast iron grill pan. Heat it until it is hot, lay the steak on it, leave it for 4-5 minutes, turn, cook for 4-5 minutes for rare. If your steaks are less than 1 inch thick, cook for a little less time.
Grill them to your liking. Season then just grill them slow until they are done how you want them, flip them a few times to get the most even cooking. to check to see if they're done, just take a knife and make a couple slices (about an inch or two long) and look inside. Just check the color of the middle. Slice them in the thickest and thinnest places to be sure. Or use a Meat thermometer...145F=med rare, 155F=med, 165F=well done
Grilled that is my choice,if they are thin you may want to be careful not to over cook.
Use a pan dont use teflon lol. You dont need oil for this. On high put the steak on each side for 1 minute. Preheat the oven to 375 and each side for 3 minutes. Take it out and put it on a plate with metal foil for 2 minutes. use the pan pour a cup of brandy to strap the tough stains and a cup of heavy cream with two tablesspoons of whole peppercorns. heat it on medium high for 1 minute to boil and pour it on the steak. Toss the potatos on the oven pan with the steak fat. Preheat 500 for 5 minutes each side. enjoy
