Answers: im baking chocolate chip and peanut b cookies. Do I have to put brown sugar in it?
I always do but if you don't have it you can use the following substitutes:

For 1 C. Packed Lt. Brown Sugar, substitute:
1 1/2 Tbsp Molasses with 1 C. Granulated Sugar

For 1 C. Packed Dark Brown Sugar, substitute:
1/4 C. Molasses with 1 C. Granulated sugar.

I hope this helps you.
yes
I wouldn't put brown sugar in either, it will burn them. Use white sugar.
yes
You don't have to there are recipies out there with and without brown sugar
If the recipe calls for brown sugar, you can't substitute white sugar, if that's what you're asking. The texture and flavor won't be the same. But you CAN substitute Splenda's brown sugar blend, if you're looking for less calories/sugar.
yes
In the chocolate chip cookies (to make them taste better) but not the peanut butter cookies. Sounds yummy!!
brown sugar makes them moist, and it adds that "cookie" flavor
Hello:

Yes,you do have to add the brown sugar to it,so it will make the cookies taste really good and flavorful! ;-)
