How should i keep fresh garlic - in the fridge or pantry?!

Question: Store your garlic as you do your potatoes and onions. They should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated, dry area with minimal exposure to the sun.

I usually keep mine in the fridge. It keeps fresher for longer that way. You can keep garlic that still has its skin on in the pantry if you want, though.
Domestically, garlic is stored warm (above 18°C) and dry, to keep it dormant (so that it does not sprout). It is traditionally hung; softneck varieties are often braided in strands called "plaits", or in short plaits called "grappes" Pictures.

Commercially, garlic is stored at 0°C, also dry.
in the pantry cool and dry keeps it strong enough to make u cry if it doesnt need honey it needs garlic
Wherever you put it it needs to stay in a cool dry place.
I think i would say the pantry only because i had 6bags of garlic with 3 clovesand they dried out when i came to use them 3months later also used seal a meal put them in crisper and
after 1 week those bags looked liked a balloon
never tried pantry though will next time i pick some up i really love garlic!!
Keep it in a well aired pantry at room temp. The conditions in your fridge are the same as it encounters outdoors and will make it sprout.
Garlic is traditionally planted this week (Columbus day) across North America. I just put mine in. It will grow every day the temps are above freezing, winter and all. The conditions in your fridge mirror the cold and dampness outside. It will "wake up" if you fridge it.
And if you have stiff neck garlic, eat those first. Stiff neck last 5-6 months under good storage conditions, softneck up to 12 months.
in a dark cubboard would be fine! i find putting it in the fridge makes the fridge smell of garlic and all the other food too!
My mother in law is Korean and grows TONS of garlic! She peels it and puts it in ziplock freezer bags and freezes it. Every year I get a bagful. You just pull out however many cloves you want each time you cook. Works great!
