One eighth of a pint of milk, thickened with 2 and a half generous teaspoons cornflour. Add a bowlful of grated cheese and half a teasp of mustard. Don't use macaroni because it's difficult to drain and dilutes the sauce, which, for a cheese sauce, spoils it. Instead use fusili.
Make a cheese sauce, but use a strong cheese, as a medium or mild cheese can lose flavour, boil your macaroni, drain, add the sauce, cover with grated cheese and tomato slices, then into a hot oven for about 20 minutes til the cheese on top has melted. Serve with toast or crusty bread.

Boil your pasta as on the packet. Make a cheese sauce with a strong cheddar but then add a packet of mascarpone cheese and some fried bacon bits. I sometimes also put tonnes of vegs such as broccoli, leeks, peppers and stuff through. Just really any veg I have going.
