Whats the cook time difference from a conventional to convection oven, I'm having recipe trouble? thanks!?!


Question: My oven recommended and I agree that the time should be pretty much the same but the temperature for the convection oven should be set 25 degrees F. lower than for the conventional oven.

a convection oven has fan induced heat where a conventional oven just has rising heat so it cooks way faster.
When we're using our convection oven, we reduce the temperature 25 degrees from what's called for in the recipe. The cooking time is usually about the same though...
Back off on the temperature about 25 degrees, and check for doneness at the halfway point in the recipe, then check every five minutes until it's finished.
I find little difference in mine, infact I have increased the temp. to shorten the cook time already.
