How do I pan fry chicken breast?!

Question: I'm making a casserole with chicken in it. My husband does not like the texture of boiled chicken so I thought I would pan fry it. What stove heat should I put it on and how long does it usually take? What seasoning do you recommend?

Put your stove on medium low. Keep an eye on it as stove temps vary a bit. Usually takes about 5-8 min per side, however depends on the thickness of the piece. If you are going to use it in a casserole I would not season much. Just spray the pan with a little non stick spray and fry it up. You are probably seasoning the casserole and if you season the chicken as well then it may be too much
Marinate your chicken in Italian dressing or teriyaki sauce for 30 min. Brown in a small amount of oil 2 tbs. Not sure what is in your casserole. You could use italian seasoning or lemon pepper seasoning also. What ever compliments your casserole.
I don't know about fried chicken for a casserole. But fried chicken is fairly simple.

Heat about 1/4 inch of oil/shortening in a large fry pan to about 350, usually about medium to med-high on most stoves.

Roll the chicken in a beaten egg and then in seasoned flour. I use Lowery's seasoned salt, about 1T. for a cup of flour. But any seasoning you like will work. Salt and pepper even.

Fry the chicken for about 20-30 minutes, turning several times, until browned and cooked through. If it's getting too brown too fast, turn down the heat. It's not like beef, it needs to cook a little slower so it cooks through. Rare chicken is gross.
Instead of frying have you thought about roasting it in the oven. With skin on or off, rub it with oil *your choice* and season with seasoned salt, pepper. Put it in pan and put it into a preheated oven (375) It doesn't take long for a chicken breast, but allow at least 25-30 minutes..It should be brown, but don't cook it too long or it will be dry. then pull it from the bone and put it into your casserole.
Dip it in flour seasoned with S&P and papkira. Fry in some olive oil for 3-4 minutes/side. If you are going to bake it leave a little undercooked so it doesn't get rubbery.
