How to fry breaded pork chops?!

Question: I breaded some prok chops n flour and bread crumbs after dipping in an egg/milk mixture. I want to try frying them.. they never come out good when I bake them and my hubby wants them fried. How do i do this... how much oil, for how long, and do I cover them? Help dinner is 1 hour away.

Dredge the pork chops in flour, shake off excess, then dip in egg wash (scrambled egg), then dredge again in crumbs (whatever you like). Then heat a skillet over medium high heat with about 1/4 inch vegetable oil (canola is best) in the bottom. Place the pork chops in when the oil is hot, then reduce the heat to medium. Cook for about 10 minutes each side (depending on thickness) or until crispy brown and the pork is cooked but not dry. My husband loves them!
Use a thin coating of oil, not too much or the chops will be super-greasy. Maybe for 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness ... make sure the coating is all crispy and brown, and there's nothing wrong with cutting a wee slice in the center of the chop to make sure there's no raw spots.
Don't cover them as this is what made the breading wet and not crispy. Just fry on medium heat and turn often.
just pan fry em

just a little olive oil to coat the skillet

no need to cover em unless they are spattering too much

3 to 5 minutes a side, high heat
You dont want to deep fry them, so you only want to get a regular frying pan, and only add enogh oil to really coat the whole bottom of the pan and maybe go up the sides of the pan about half an inch , IF that. It should be just enough oil to cover the bottom of the pork chop so that it can fry and brown.

Let the pan heat up with the oil, that is what i do. Then after 3 minutes i check the oil by actually doing somethign stupid lol i take a little water on my finger tips and SPRITZ it towards the pan, i stand back to make sure i dont get hit with hot oil, if the oil starts to splatter and bubble then its good, if it does it too much and pops everywhere then just turn the heat down a bit.

Good LUCK! i LOVE PORCKHOPS!@
batter them the same as if you were baking them put them in a pan with grease so that they are covered make sure the grease is hot before you put them in. fry until nice golden brown
for starters, don't use bread crumbs... use just enough oil to cover the bottom of the pork chop... fry them long enough so they are brown on each side... i always put a tablespoon of butter in the oil to give the pork chops a pretty brown color
12 inch pan, about 1/2 inch of oil , canola or vegetable,, you will still have to bake them since you are just frying the outside,,, just heat up oil to 375, and brown each side, then bake 20 minutes at 350, then let rest for 10, covered with foil

remember with pork to remove them from oven 10 minutes before you think they are done,( OR grill ) sit covered the heat still keeps cooking them until they cool down enough, should be just right then, not over cooked,, people tend to cook them all the way through then they sit for 10 minutes still very hot,, and over cook themselves,
Use a tablespoon full of oil and heat it up high , then put the chops in and leave them for two minutes , then turn them over . Watch the bone : you can see if the edge is not red anymore , then they are ready . Should take approximately six minutes , turning them twice . Don't cover them !
Bon appetit !

Good Luck! Hope you see one you like!
just a little oil, 10-15 minutes on each side, i would cover them, the juice will run clear when they are done
This sounds so good that now I wish I were cooking pork chops. Ok here's what I do to fry the pork chop. Put some vegetable or olive oil in a frying pan. Depending on the size of the pan, I'd probably use a quarter cup of oil. Enough to cover the bottom of the fry pan is all you need.

Fry each side of the pork chop about 10 to 15 min on each side for a thick pork chop, uncovered in the frying pan (if you cover them, they'll be soggy, not crispy). You want to be sure the juices are clear in the middle of the pork chop. You can always cut into the middle of one to be sure.

Alternatively what I do is to brown the pork chop in the frying pan until it is golden and crispy on each side and then finish off in the oven for about 15 min. They come out great this way and while they are finishing off in the oven, I can cook the vegetables.

Enjoy your dinner!

do you have Shake and Bake for Chops?
or dip in egg and cover lightly with seasoned bread crumbs
(I like Italian my self) - cook over medium heat - I think that's where most people make mistakes when they are cooking something - the idea is to cook it - not burn it to death
keep turning it over until cooked (meat should not be pink inside) - serve with steamed rice/ mashed potatoes and your favorite veggie.
Good Cookin'!
If you have Crisco Canola Oil, put about 1/4 cup of that in a skillet, set to medium heat. Allow to get hot. Put a dash of flour and when it cooks, it is ready for your pork chops.
The oil should never cover all the chops, so make sure you aren't drowning your chops, let them fry for about 15-20 minutes until each side is brown.
You can turn the heat down a bit and put the lid on them to allow them to steam a bit, no longer than 5 min. but watch them closely so they don't burn.

Take them out, put on a plate with a paper towel on it so it can absorb the oil.

If you know how to make gravy from the oil, put your heat back onto med-mid high, add some flour to the mixture, stir until it is brown. Add about 4 cups of half water and carnations cream (evaporated milk) to this and stir so there are no lumps. If more water is necessary, add, it won't hurt it. Becareful not to add too much water or your gravy will be too watery.

Salt and Pepper to taste.
Good luck!!
make sure the oil is hot before you put them in. You only need enough oil to cover the pan, maybe a little more.

DO NOT cover them while they are cooking. People cover meat way too often & it makes it dry. I don't know why, but it does. Cooking time should be around 20 minutes ( of course turn halfway through)

Good luck!
Just put them in a pan with some oil, give em a flip and when they look good to you, and they are done when they are browned well.

I just our oil in the frying pan and add chops keep an eye on them so the rease dontcook away....just try it i thinkyou will do a great job!!
1/4 to 1/2 inch of oil in the pan.
Heat on medium heat until the oil is hot.
Fry the chops 4-6 minutes per side, turning only once. The juice should still be pink when pierced with a fork. Do not over cook them. They DO NOT need to be well done.

I never cooked breaded pork chops but last week I cooked breaded chicken breast so Im thinking maybe you cooked them the same way. Season the pork chops with ground black pepper and salt. You have three different plates one for flour , in a second plate, beat the egg and 1/2 tablespoon of water together.Place the bread crumbs on a third plate. Dip each pork chop first in the flour, shake of the excess, and then dip in the egg and the bread crumb mixtures.
I cook them in olive oil in a large saute pan over medium heat until fully browned & cooked.
Another idea maybe you can cooked them about 2 minute's in each side till nice & browned and then put them in the oven for about 10 minute's or until you think there done for 400 degree's.
SIMMER FER STARTERS THAN BROWN AS NEEDED
