I am making chili, how do you like yours?!

Question: I make my chili from scratch and I make it differently every time. I make it to taste with mainly the following in it.
Pinto Beans
Very Lean Ground Beef
Fresh Plum Tomato's, sliced and diced
Tomato Sauce
Garlic, lots of it
Onions both cooked in it and some raw to sprinkle on top
Chili spices
Olive Oil
Roasted Sweet Red Peppers
Cilantro
Hot Peppers, both Jalepnos and Habeneros

When you ask how I like it, are you sharing or just making me wish I had some of that? That sounds good!
Add some whole cumin seeds, maybe a Tablespoon. It adds that zing.

sometimes i switch up the beans...using like...kidney,black,red in combo & add fresh mushrooms & some beef suet plus the obvious..onions,green & jalepeno peppers, tomato sauce, seasonings & some cumin....it IS gettin' to finally be chili weather here in central illinois...yeah!!! Add oyster crackers...maybe some sour cream & shredded cheese.....( i don't add these things but some people like them)
Mmmm, sounds yummy! And HOT! Whoa .... I bet those habeneros light some fires.

I make mine from scratch, too -- always different, no recipe.

Have you ever tried making it with black beans -- and adding a grilled steak, chopped, to the pot? It is really an amazing flavor. I bet with the roasted sweet peppers, it would really be good.

Enjoy, and keep plenty of sour cream on hand to settle down the heat of those habeneros.
i like all the normal spices cumin garlic etc. but i really love black beans and chicken chunks
I live in Australia where Chili is spelt differently (Chilli) and noone ever seems to eat it. Lately, I've been watching episodes of Columbo where the guy eats chilli all the time. I guess I'd like mine with a lot of Cilantro (called coriander in Australia) because I like that particular flavour. We also don't have "pinto beans" but I guess they're called something else. I'd prefer not much garlic in mine as well.
