It all depends on who you hope to have come to it. There are 1000 dollar a plate charity dinners all the time. If you are having the general public invited you should probably keep it under $7.00. You can always have a donation can there for those willing to provide additional support.

I don't think you can get more than seven bucks.
Get product donations from local businesses, they love that. Then have a raffle or silent auction.
If it is a charitable event, we have found that free will offerings usually bring in more donations then setting a price for the meal. This is a fairly common but you could suggest an amount on a sign.

It really depends on the marketplace you have and the amount of spending dollars they can afford. Work out the cost of each sausage sandwich and pancake and then add on 50 to 75% of the cost to make the selling price.

If you're having a fund-raiser, many local bread manufacturers are happy to deliver yesterday's bread for no cost.
