Converting regular cooking time to convection cookiing time?!

Question: If you don't have the automatic convection converter on a oven how do you calculate cooking times?

I just take the normal cooking/baking time and divide it in half... cook for that period of time and try it... if it's not done... I keep cooking because the tasting will tell me how close to being done it is...

I have had my Euro-Pro Convection Microwave Oven for about 6 months now and I'm still learning how to use it... It's a great oven though because you can cook using BOTH the Microwave AND the Convection oven AT THE SAME TIME... it's the only convection/microwave oven you can do that with... at least that I could find on the Internet and that I could afford.
Convection cooking just reduces the amount of baking time. Convection is circulating air for even cooking - I have found with my convection oven combined with microwave that reducing the cooking time by 6 to 10 minutes is just about right.
