Sue is right, the other guys are just being jerks.
In the old days if you left milk sitting out it would sour- that is, it would thicken & taste slightly sour, but still be usable. Now that milk is pasteurized it does not sour, it just spoils & is good for nothing.
leave the milk outside for like a day
as little as a teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice will sour a cup of milk.

Put the vinegar or lemon juice in the measuring cup then pour the milk to measure in. Stir and let it sit for at least 5 minutes.

If you want the milk more the consistency of buttermilk, use the tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice.
Put it in the trunk of your car all day.
