just get some fresh clams, in the shell. One pound will serve 1 person. rise well, and put in a pot. Add about 1 inch of water, and some salt. cover, and heat until the shells open. remove with a slotted spoon, or whatever you have, let cool slightly, and remove clams from shells. Be sure to remove the covering on the foot. Dip in butter, and there you go. Enjoy
If you have a charcoal grille thats fun, get the coals nice and hot and put the grille on and jus throw the clams or oysters on. you can also put the butter in a lil pyrex and throw them on the side of the grill where there is not much heat and and just use a spoon to poor it in the shell. (hint: smoke chips soaked for 30 mins thrown on the flame for oh so good smokey taste) crack open beers. great for backyard parties for everyone to kick back and mingle
