Why do some restaurants serve pancakes, hashbrowns and toast together on one entree?!

Question: Doesn't that seem like a lot of carbs and starch?

Answers: Doesn't that seem like a lot of carbs and starch?
It's a lot cheaper to serve all these carbs then to fill up your plate with proteins and fresh fruit. You can at home make about 30 pancakes, 3 lbs. of potatoes and 2 loaves of bread for $2, think how cheap they can make them for. Then think about how many grapes or oranges you get for $2. They are $2 a lb. where I live. Also, breakfast meats of any good quality are at least $4 a pack. They can fill up your plate spending the least amount of money possible. It's all busines baby, they don't give a d*&^ about your health.
because that's what people want to eat for breakfast
It is alot of carbs and starch...but sometimes people want hashbrowns and toast with their pancakes....
I don't think they care. They just want to fill up the plate so they can charge more! But unless you're a carb watcher, then the average person won't think anything about it. One year carbs are good, the next year they're bad. I say as long as you eat in moderation you'll be okay. Though a lot of restaurants do have low carb options. They are usually a tiny portion of the menu.
most americans dont care about all those carbs thats why they are fat.... i am from maryland and watch what i eat so i would never eat that... but some of my friends would scarf that down, they are so un healthy
what sells. what people order.
businesses have to make money.
trust me if people ordered healthy food, it would be on the menu.
healthy food doesn't sell.
why exactly
greed and gluttony
It is a lot but as long as polpe keep oredring it, why would they take it off the menu?
That kind f heavy breakfast goes back to the days when most people did manual labor and needed the energy and calories. These days, unless you are a steelworker or something, a regular diet of that stuff will kill you!
To serve a big portion at a low cost.
