Can you suggest a commercial salad dressing -- which is not too spicy -- for kids?!
Answers: I thought my 9 year old girl would like to spread "Creamy Ranch" in her salad -- but she said is two "sour". Any ideas of a commercial dressing which would not have too much adult bite to it? Many thanks!
Have you tried French dressing? It is pretty sweet and some kids like it. It is also pretty easy to make your own and you can put in less spice or leave it out altogether.
Here is one recipe that has just three ingredients:

You can also just use olive oil and a little lemon juice and some herbs or even leave out the herbs.
One of my kids loves salad but will only eat it without any dressiing. The other two like dressing on salad.
annie's naturals salad dressings for kids! great selection of dressings made for the palette of children and i love them too!
Try 1000 Island or French, they are pretty sweet.
my kids love hidden valley ranch.its not as tangy as some of the other ranch brands.
they also love dorothy lynchs dressing, it is tangy but also sweet and goes good with fruits as well as vegetables.
i use a dressing which although is made by weight watchers. both my children love and it is not spicy which is caesar salad dressing you should be able to get it at most supermarkets .we go through a lot of it!.also it is in a squeeze bottle so kids can do it themselves.
Why need to cover the great taste of all the good things you put in a salad with dressing at all? I am 30 and still never found one I liked so I just eat mine with all the fixings and know that it is healthier for me. One of my sons loves Hidden valley Ranch though.
My older kids loved Kraft Creamy Cucumber dressing. It was very mild tasting and not sour at all. I don't know if they still sell it, though. There are recipes for it on the Internet. Here's one:
1 cup cucumber -- seeded and minced
1 cup mayonnaise
1 clove garlic -- minced
2 tablespoons parsley -- minced
1 tablespoon scallions -- minced
1 cup plain yogurt
Combine the cucumber, mayonnaise, garlic, parsley, and scallions. Fold in yogurt. Add salt and pepper to taste. Chill well before serving.
If it's too spicy for them, omit or go easy on the scallions and seasonings.
When my kids were young they just loved Kraft Catalina dressing. It is similar to French but spicier and sweeter. Try that.
Try Marzetti's Buttermilk Ranch. My kids fight over it. It's sold in the produce aisle, not by the other dressings usually.
Brianna's do an awesome honey and mustard one, the mustard is really mild Dijon so you get a real nice sweet edge with the honey, it's awesome on Avocados
