Cinnamon and Brown Sugar in Gravy???!

Question: I have a family member who likes to put Cinnamon and Brown Sugar in gravy. Does anyone else like to do this? I don't like it and to me sugar and cinnamon don't belong in gravy. I just want to see if anyone else thinks it's good, because everyone in my family who have tried don't like it and thinks it's strange.

I once accidentally put Cinnamon in spaghetti sauce (not a good experience) but in gravy, on purpose? Gross!!!
I cannot see that tasting good either, your not alone! LOL YUCK
I personally don't care for the cinnamon taste, but it is used in some chili and Indian recipes for example.
As for sugar, a little sugar browned with the onions for example can intensify the taste of a gravy as well as add to the color. "Little" is the key word here, you don't want it to actually taste very sweet. Sugar is also a must in almost anything that you season with a bit of vinegar or Worcestershire sauce, it balances the acidity out.
It sure doesn't sound good to me. I have a relative that loves to dress leaf lettuce with vinegar and sugar. I tried it once and YUCK! There's no accounting for the different things people like to eat. LOL
