After boiling, place the eggs in cold water.
Chill them in ice water until they are cooled off.
Put them in cold water and don't over-boil them.
break the shells and place them in ice water. This also removes all the green from around the yolks, this is sulfer and it makes the eggs smell bad and taste bad.
Make sure there done. About 18 minutes in a rapid boil. Them peel under cold running water. Works for me everytime
After it comes to a boil. Boil for 10 mins more. Just break the shells a bit and place them in cold water. Then peel after a couple of minutes. Good luck!
I always add a couple of two or four drops of oil to my water when I boil. They peel perfectly every time.
I don't know WHY but I was told to add salt to the boiling water.....
Start them in cold water and bring to a boil -- let boil 3 minutes - turn the burner off but leave the pot sitting there on the same warm burner --- in the heated water for at least 10 minutes.
Let the eggs cool ALL THE WAY.............don't try to peel while warm.
give them a roll, then the halves will pop off.
well i saw jamie oliver the chef do this on tv, you bash the egg till the shell starts to crack all over ,then roll the egg with the palm of your hand on a surface the peel should come off easy
Place the egg in a bowl of water, wait for 2-3 minutes, take it out crack the egg, then peel
i cool it using a cold water and after a while i roll it on a flat surface and makes sure the entire shell is cracked.that way u can remove the shells easily.
boil them in salted water. about a teaspoon of salt or so. older eggs peel easier. once you are done boiling the eggs, rinse them right away in cold water. don't let them sit it water.
good luck!
First of all. Leave your eggs out to get to room temp before you cook them. Put the eggs in, bring the water to boil and put a lid on. Turn off the fire and leave them in the covered pan for 20 mins. They will come out just perfect. Then drain the water and peel under running water.
After boiling set pot under cold water let stand four 3 or 4
minutes.
After you have cooked the eggs, drain the water off with the top of the pot lid, replace lid and shake the eggs. They'll already be half peeled.
Just boil for 20 minutes then put them in the refrigerator to cool off.
Some people tend to let eggs boil for too long. All you do to boil an egg/eggs is get them to the boiling point then shut off heat, let them sit in the hot water for 10 minutes, then place them under cold running water, and peel. You should have no problem peeling them, unless the eggs are old. (past date) Good luck on your egg peeling! Yummy! :)
put them in cold water and peel them right away, or u can do the shake method, which is empty the water out and shake them in the pan with a lid on and that will peel them quickly and evenly...
Putting them in an ice water bath after boiling makes them much easier to peel, but the real secret is to not use fresh eggs. The older the eggs are the easier they are to peel. when I am planning on making hard boiled eggs I buy the eggs at least a week in advance so they are ready to boil when I need them.
