Why does everyone say enjoy after they write down their recipes on here???!
"It's damned awful but I thought I'd waste your time by making you try it out.. snicker snicker".
Got any other ideas for alternatives to (sigh) "Enjoy". Pleeeease!
Answers: Maybe you can come up with something more original such as:

When it's done please feed it to the dogs...Nawww! Even I'm not that cruel.
Please try this alternative to gruel.
Serve with Pepto-Bismol
Serves: 1000 After one bite you won't want anymore.
Don't eat if you live far from the Hospital
Don't invite anyone over for dinner that is important to you.
I think they all say enjoy because they are naive enough to
A. think anyone will try it
B. think it's better than what they were making that night
I always say: I hope that was helpful
Bon Appetit
great recipe

Because we hope that you will like our favorite recipes.
How 'bout "don't choke" or "abbondanza!"
Very good question. I've been guilty of it myself. I think next time I'll try "I hope you choke to death on it, my husband nearly did" for variety. ;)
Eat it and keep running to the loo. or
Eat it and die. And thanks for trying.
It sounds better than "puke"
Eat until you explode!
don't you have anything more important to obsess over?
Probably because either the prep work/eating of the end product brings them great joy and they want to share the feeling....
An alternative, huh?
Allez Cuisine!
Bon Appetit
Bon Chance (for the more difficult ones)
Whoooo Weeee, Hot Damn for more 'heated' ones
Nope. Enjoy is the perfect finish.
I usually say Yummy. Most of my recipes are originals, or are tested in my kitchen first. So, in my opinion, they are yummy.
As for "enjoy" I'm sure people want you to enjoy what you eat. If you didn't want to enjoy it, you would just stick to what you usually make and not ask for the recipe.
I've never said "enjoy" in my answers. I agree with you though. I also don't like the "word" delish. Hmm. Since when did 3 syllables become too much to pronounce?
I never have, never will.
There is also one that, no matter how she answers a question, put down "nurse and mother" or the one that says "I trained at Cordon Bleu" ahhhh, OK?
I believe it is called Kindness, maybe you should try it. It works wonderfully and makes you feel good as well.
Not everyone does say "enjoy" after sharing a recipe here. Some always do it, some never do it, and some do it part of the time.
People come here for help with recipes. You've asked for several recipes yourself. Why does it bother you so much to see that one little word "enjoy" tagged on the end of a recipe someone was generous enough to share? What possible harm could it do?
Well. . . I guess people hope they enjoy the meal. . . why waste time putting something on here if you think it's awful?
Because people have taken time out to answer the question, and want you to try the recipe they've gone to the trouble of writing out for you, and want you to ENJOY it. Jeez - if this is all you've got to obsess over........................
I thought Kimberly said it wonderfully!
Just 'enjoy' some new recipies... people want to share and make others feel good
Betty
I am proud of all my recipes that I share.
should we say don't use this recipe because it is lousy?
