What goes well with Beef Stroganoff?!

Question: I plan on serving Beef Stroganoff tomorrow night for a few people. I will have a lettuce salad but do you have any ideas that would go good with this such as a side dish or vegetable?

well since stoganoff is a white colorless dish.. a green salad is always nice, it adds color to the table.. Everyone above is talking about noodles... I dont call beef stroganoff, stroganoff if its not with noodles.. thats the whole thing.. Im assuming obviously you will serve it with noodles.. thats the whole dish.. . you might could offer a german slaw salad, with grated cabbage and carrots , apples, etc along with the green salad, or a hot german potato salad..... or even if you like.. a hot red beet salad (gives a nice color balance) give some other options.. maybe make a simple apple strudel coffee cake (nothing fancy)

I assume you are having the noodles with it...a must!!!!!

serve it over bow-tie pasta

Fresh green beans....steamed....with a little salt to keep the color of the green beans vibrant/coloful...a great way to get your veggies in....and make your dish look gourmet....

white rice or mash potato

stroganoff is a meal that stands well by itself-maybe a loaf of fresh hot bread to compliment it-starting the meal with a salad is a wonderful idea though-add some green to the meal--chef for a living--hope it comes out well for you

English peas

"No Yolks" wide flat noodles and don't forget to have plenty of sour cream on the table.
Creamed French styled green beans with either almond slivers or minced cashews.
If you are serving wine,
red is an excellent choice.
If you'd like to serve something difference,
rather than wine.
Try Pomegranate juice in wine glasses,
then you won't have to worry
about the alcohol consumption
and their driving home.

egg noddles to soak up the great sauce enjoy!

I would serve a nice crisp salad with radishes and cucumbers in it, maybe some red onion. A good home made vinaigrette dressing with fresh garlic and dijon mustard in it would make a nice counterpoint to the creamy stroganoff.

Serve it over pasta, rice or mash. Then pretty much any steamed veggies will go with it.

I would think either crusty french or turkish bread, cut into attractive chunks, lightly brushed with olive oil , and sprinkled with a little fresh ground pepper, sea salt and a touch of fresh parmesan. Brown in the oven just prior to serving .

I think you have so many good flavours going on already that you need something simple like this. Lidy :o)

Steamed brocolli and egg noodles.
