So Confused with Butter...PLz Help?!


Question: When i go to get butter , i get so confused...There is Margerine....Buttremilk butter, vegetble butter, seeds butter....I am so confused with all of them...what is the actual dieffernce?
I had seen my mum making butter from butter milk....but cant picture butter from vegetable..how does that actually happen? and what vegetables are been used to make that butter? and wht butter is the most best one in nutritions? PLZ HELP....Its so confusing!!!!

When you churn cream, the fat eventually separates from the liquid and forms butter. The leftover liquid is buttermilk.

Margarine is an inferior vegetable product made from trans fats which are actually more dangerous than the saturated fats in butter.

Peanut butter is made by pulping peanuts. Peanuts contain peanut oil, which emulsifies with the peanut pulp and makes a buttery substance. There is no actual butter in peanut butter. If it's any good, it's just peanuts with maybe a little extra vegetable oil and salt. Likewise, cashew butter is made from pulping cashews, and so on. Maple butter is made from maple sugar and, like so many things, is incredibly tasty but very bad for you (because of the high sugar content).

Butter comes from cows. So does buttermilk, but unlike butter, buttermilk is quite low in fat. Nothing else that goes by the name of 'butter' is actually butter. IMO, butter is the best one to cook with by far. Margarine tastes nasty and is bad for you, and you can't cook things in peanut butter (although you can make sauces with it).

The healthiest fat of all, and one of the best-tasting, is extra virgin olive oil, but because it tastes quite strong, you can't cook everything in it.

u know what? i have no idea. what i do know is they taste different!

True BUTTER is not made from vegetables of any sort - it is made from cows milk.
You should be able to buy salted and unsalted varieties in most stores - if it says it is suitable for vegans - it is NOT butter!

There's real butter which is churned and factory butter made from vegetable oil which is margarine.

There is only one type of real butter and thats the stuff churned from cream. Everything else is a spread, but its not butter.

Don't use anything with hydrogenated fats or transfats. Good old butter is the best.

Sometimes I just go with my taste buds and they say to go with the old original butter for toast, cooking, sauces ect.!

I did try one butter with essential fatty acids that wasn't bad tasting and was supposed to be pretty good for you. It had added omega3's and 6's. I think it was a vegetarian butter so it wouldn't be from a cows milk. My wife didn't like it but I couldn't tell the difference. If you can't tell the difference than go with the one that's best for you.

Margarine is hydrogenated vegetable oil. Vegetable oil is unsaturated fat, i.e. its fat molecules don't have the maximum number of hydrogen bonded to them. As saturated fat becomes more saturated, it becomes more opaque and solid. Unfortunately, partial hydrogenation produces an unnatural configuration of the fat molecule, called trans fat, which the enzymes in our digestive system can't deal with. Trans fats are as bad for you as saturated fat.

Not all vegetable oils are unsaturated fat, e.g. coconut and palm oils.

Monounsaturated fat, like olive and avocado oils, is best for you. However, if you prefer a spread, just check the nutrition information table on the products to select one with the lowest trans fat.

Just buy BEST butter.

Margarines are full of plastics.
