Bagels and coffee from a local coffee shop or starbucks. Thats what we always do for bosses day and then get them a shrimp ring for the afternoon.

bagels, cream cheese, muffins, doughnuts, egg and cheese croissant fruit, etc...add some variety..good luck....

I am getting mine a nice fresh haggis

Keep it easy. Especially with the pastries. Just buy them. Pastries are pretty difficult to make, and take a ton of time. Go to your local bakery and get some rugelah, mini muffins, and tartletts. Nice small, but sized pieces.

If you want to make something, try this sweet savory treat. Cook up about 1 lb. of bulk breakfast sausage in a until it's all the way done. Drain the sausage keeping about 2 tbsp. of the drippings. Because of time I generally put this in a thin layer in a baking dish and pop it in the freezer to cool quickly, but you can just leave it out until it's room temp. In a bowl mix up 1 egg, 1 cup of milk. Then add 1 c. each of cornmeal and yellow cake mix. When you think it's almost mixed add the cooked sausage. Coat your cake pan with the drippings, pour in the mix and bake about 25 minutes. Check to see if it's done with a toothpick.

Another really nice thing to make is flavored butters and cream cheeses for bagels. You can buy them, but making them is nice as well. Add a some fresh berries with softened butter in your food processor until it's light and fluffy. Do the same with cream cheese and lox. Before you put it back in the fridge fold in some diced red onion or chives. Most people serve bagels at a breakfast, but artisnal bread is really good as well.

Also fruit kebabs. Serve with a yogurt dip. Put 1 large container of plain unsweeted yogurt in a strainer you have lined with cheese cloth. Let this sit for about 1 hour in the sink. Then add a few packs of splenda, a little bit of vanilla or lemon zest.

Also, don't forget deviled eggs.

bagels / donuts ./ pastries / muffins/ cheese croissants
and Coffee should be great..
good luck
