Yup his recipes are very rich, always have been. You know what to ask for christmas now...another cook book ;)

Must be from all those sugar commercials!

I find a lot of TV Chefs use only full fat cream, butter etc.

But you can adjust them and use Fromage frais instead of cream for example or I also like to use oil instead of butter. Just play with the recipes a bit to change them to your personal taste.

Hope this helps.

his stuff is waaaaaaaaay to heavy for me

all the best

Well, those of us who still enjoy real food say: Don't eat it every day. I eat a healthy diet a lot. One of the reasons I do this is so that I can eat what I want when the occasion arises. I rarely eat bacon, but when I do I eat all that I want. I know it will be all right because I eat healthy a lot.

I'll never get used to 2% ice cream, skim cottage cheese, bacolean, I can't believe it's not butter, or all the other trash you "health aware" people eat. If your taste has acculturated to it, good for you. Me, I wan Gary Rhodes to tell me how to enjoy food instead of using it to live 1 1/2 years longer.

The point is to use his books to cook with for special occasions - the recipes really do work well. His is restaurant-style cooking, not every-day home cooking.
