Please tell me the approximate Time and Temperature for baking 5 (beef) steaks in the oven. TY :-)?!


Question: Steak is never baked

Sear the steak well on both sides for five minutes in a non-stick pan and
let the steak finish in the oven on a oven proof serving dish for 6 minutes while you deglase the pan . I like to add shrooms to my pan with a little chicken stock and butter .Bring the food to the table sizzling with the shooms and butta sauce poured along side the meat, have some salad with russian dressing ,steak frys, and texas toast with it.

About 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

NEVER BAKE STEAK! Start out by searing the steak on both sides for approx 3 min on each side. Finish it off in the oven (approx 5-8 mins depending on doneness - Rare 5 mins, Medium 6.5 min, Well 8 mins). When done, let the meat REST (approx 10 min) This will help the juices redistribute, thus makin the meat tender and juicy.

This is for steak that is approx 1 inch thick. Obviously a thinner steak will take less time (skirt steak), thick steak more time (Filet mignon) It all depends on your preference
