What are the ingredients in a veggie burger?!

VEGGIE BURGERS

2 c. rolled oats
1 1/2 c. grated carrots
1/2 c. diced string beans
1/2 c. cabbage, diced
1/2 c. broccoli, diced
1/2 c. mushrooms, diced
1/2 c. onions, diced
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. tamari
1 clove garlic, diced
3 tbsp. flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil
Cheese

Mix all the ingredients together, shape into patties. Heat some oil in a skillet, brown patties on both sides. Place in a baking pan and bake 25-30 minutes. Top with a slice of Cheddar cheese 5 minutes before done. Great with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and the works.

Look in the freezer section at your grocery, Morning star and Gardenburger are really good.Every product they make is all good in my opinion

ive had them made with garbonzo beans(chick peas)they were awesome

It actually varies from shop to shop.. some people just fill with veggies n some spices whereas most of the good shops prepare by filling wid a cutlet.. i like de latter one.. yummm :)

VEGETABLE BURGERS

2 c. shredded carrot
1 c. cooked brown rice, cooled
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped dry-roasted peanuts
1/2 c. chopped dry roasted peanuts
1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1 tbsp. snipped parsley
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground coriander
2 beaten eggs
2 tbsp. soy sauce
Nonstick spray coating
2/3 c. plain lowfat yogurt

In a large bowl, stir together carrot, rice, onion, peanuts, bread crumbs, parsley, salt, ginger, coriander, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Stir together eggs and soy sauce; add to rice mixture and mix well. Cover and chill. Shape rice mixture into 6 patties.

Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray coating. Place patties on baking sheet. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until set.

To set, top each patty with about 2 tablespoons of the yogurt. Makes 6 servings.

Stay away from the cool-aid.
