I am making cupcakes (frosted) for a BAKE SALE- what is the BEST way to WRAP them?!
Answers: How do I keep the saran wrap from sticking to the frosting?
Adding small candies or spinkles on top of the icing can be just enough to keep the saran wrap from actually touching the frosting. Try decorating them with candy corns, etc for Halloween, jelly beans for Easter, etc. They are cute, which draws in kids, plus practical because it keeps the saran wrap from sticking!
toothpicks on the top of some of em will prevent the plastic from touching!!!
tin foil
put a toothpick in each cupcake and then cover the cupcakes. this will keep the saran wrap from messing the pretty frosting.
You can maybe try and wrap it like a gift bag, from the bottom up and tie the top with ribbon, or something
Use the glad plastic containers with lids... otherwise you will have a mess.
u could use toothpicks but also lightly spray the saran with pam so the frosting wont stick
An empty box the was a case of soda like the flat one with the edges. And then put foil over the top. If you dont have one of those then try to make one of cardboard.
there are some good portable trays for baked goods try this one!

mabye maks a type of pouch out of foil.....i want one
i would put them in the rerigerator and let the icing harden slightly, then wrap them- but keep them cool so the melting icing does not stick.
Someone else may have a better way but I cannot say that I have seen cupcakes wrapped in anything but saran wrap or sandwich bags.
Buy some baggie, plain ones without the zipper thing, put the cupcake in and tie it on the top over the top on the frosting. It helps the frosting from getting smashed. Takes a little extra time but it does work.
toothpicks are the way to go!
Cut the sides off a box about the right size as a tray would be, leaving it high enough to clear the top of the cupcakes. Place them in the box, on napkins and fit clear plastic wrap over top, tapeing if necessary.
dont wrap them....buy a cupcake holder (kmart) which holds 23-25 cupcakes without messing up the cupcake easy carry in and easy carry out...bake them in the cupcake pan which is part of the holder, bake and take...enjoy
at walmart you can buy a cup cake carrier or you can use a box. if you use a bok to carry them make sure the box side are short and cover them with one long sheet of wax paper sprayed with nonstick spray
Get a high enough bow so the saran wrap , wraps the box or pit toothpicks in the cupcakes that the wrap will sit on.
I would get a flat gift box and put the cupcakes in there.
I put them in a deep pan if you have one, or a Cardboard box, like the ones you wrap shirts in. Other option is to let the frosting harden and then use or stick a few toothpicks in them and net the wrap over the tray. Make sure you don't wrap it to tight or the toothpicks will break thru the plastic wrap
Is it possible to transport them unfrosted and frost them there ?
I am having a bday party for my daughter and want to send cupcakes home with the kids. I am going to use celophane instead of plastic wrap. I am going to cut up cardboard into squares about 4x4 sit the cupcake on it and wrape the celophane up from the bottom and tie at the top. I am hoping this will work. If it does they will be super cute, if not, it will surely work better than the plastic wrap, we know that will screw them up!
