I am making cupcakes. How far do I fill up the cake cup of batter before i put i oven to bake?!

About 2/3 of the way up. (Imagine about 66% of the cup cake).

About half way. Eyeball it, as Rachael Ray would say.

1/2" an inch from the top.

The rule of thumb for anything like muffins or cupcakes is 2/3.

i just made cup cakes like ten minutes ago and i filled it about 1/2 way and they turned out perfect

I always fill mine about 3/4 of the way up. I love cupcakes,.don't make them nearly enough...I like the lemon and poppyseed ones..with a lemon frosting.
