How do you cook your beef stew?!

Question: I start with marinating my beef cubes in a bag of pot roast seasoning mix w/ 1 pkg water. No need to marinate long 20-30 min. Then I shake my beef cubes in a zip bag of flour. Saute in olive oil w/ onion. Add my broth and my veg chopped garlic, black pepper, a couple dabs worcestershire sauce. Let simmer until veg & meat are tender. I thicken w/ cornstarch. It should be a little thick already because when you add your broth to your sauted floured meat that helps with the thickening process. For a little different flare on your beef stew you can add a can of chopped tomates and a little bit of ramono cheese and basil and a sprinkle of sugar. But I would omit the wordestershire sauce. I really don't measure anything when I cook I just throw a bunch of stuff together. I hope this helps a little bit. Sorry about running all of my directions together.

in the crockpot, turns out great

I like the crock pot too. nice and slow

on the stove on a gentle simmer...turns out really tasty.

I make lots of stews and casseroles during Autumn and Winter. Everything from your basic Beef and Onions/Veg to Goulashs, with Ale etc. Whatever I make, the method of cooking is always the same, whether in the oven or on top of the cooker...slowly, slowly,s-l-o-w-l-y!

The crockpot is the best way to make your beef stew.
