How do you make peanut butter?!

Question: I like peanut butter, but not all the time, and I enjoy having it as a snack now and then. Do you have a good recipe for a home made peanut butter recipe that I can use or make?

MAKING PEANUT BUTTER
by Laura Mills
Peanut butter is a fun and easy recipe to make!

Ingredients
Roasted peanuts in shells
Corn or vegetable oil
What you'll need
Measuring cup
Food processor or grinder (for crunchy style peanut butter)
Food blender (for smooth style)
Tablespoon
Teaspoon
Jar
Crack open the shells and remove the peanuts. Measure out about one cup.

Remove the red skin from the peanuts.

If you want chunky peanut butter, put the peanuts in a food processor or grinder and run the chopped mixture through three or more times until the peanut butter is the consistency that you like. For creamy style peanut butter, chop up the peanuts in a blender.

Add about one to two tablespoons of cooking oil in small amounts and regrind or blend the mixture until the peanut butter is the familiar paste consistency. Homemade peanut butter contains no preservatives or other additives.
To avoid spoiling, keep any unused portion in the refrigerator.

Did you know… that over half the peanuts grown in America are used for peanut butter?

And…

The peanut contributes over 4 billion dollars to the U.S. economy each year.

The first major use for peanuts was as food for pigs.

One of the world's most famous peanut farmers is former United States President Jimmy Carter.

ewe home made peanut butter save some time and just buy it

2 cups roasted shelled peanuts
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1/2 teaspoon salt (omit if salted peanuts are used)

Using the metal blade, process ingredients continuously for 2 to 3 minutes. The ground peanuts will form a ball which will slowly disappear. Continue to process until the desired consistency is obtained. If necessary, stop machine and scrape sides of container with a rubber spatula.

For crunchy peanut butter, stir in 1/2 cup chopped roasted peanuts after the processing is completed.

Yields 1 cup creamy or 1-1/2 cups crunchy peanut butter.
