KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES TREATS

1/4 cup butter
1 (10 oz., about 40) pkg. regular marshmallows or 3 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal

In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and continue to stir until the marshmallows have completely melted. Remove from heat.

Stir in the Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal coating them well with the melted marshmallow mixture.

Using a buttered or silicone spatula, press the mixture evenly into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan which has been buttered or sprayed with non-stick spray or lined with wax paper.

Cut into squares when the mixture cools.

Makes 24 squares.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:

Microwave butter with marshmallows on high setting for 2 minutes in a microwave safe mixing bowl. Stir together when melted. Microwave again on high for 1 additional minute. Stir in cereal, mixing until well coated. Press into pan as above.

its up to you, mix them in with everything else or stick them on top when you are done, theres not much too it

Oil a glass dish, microwave a packet of marshmallows in that dish until they start to puff up and expand. Stir in enough handfuls of rice krispie cereal to create bars. Press the soft krispy-mallow mix into an oiled pan, preferably lined in parchment. While it's still soft, press in any candy or sprinkles on top. Refrigerate for thirty minutes, then pop them out of the pan, cut and eat.

The exact recipe with ratio of butter to marshmallows to rice krispies should be on the side of the box.

If I were you I would buy a box and look at the instructions or go to this website http://www.ricekrispies.com/ and see if there is a phone number to call or an email to ask a question.

Usually, the Rice Crispy treats recipe is on the box. If you can't find it, here's a recipe:

1/4 cup of butter
5 cups of mini marshmallows
5 cups of cereal
olive oil or softened margarine/butter
Put 1/4 cup of butter in a pot, and put on low heat.
Add five cups of miniature marshmallows slowly as the butter is melting and stir together. The marshmallows and butter should become a creamy white thick fluid.
Put five cups of cereal (preferably Rice Krispies) into a bowl and add the mixture to it.
Mix together so that all the cereal is covered.
Grease a large tray/cookie sheet and spatula with olive oil or softened margarine.
Spread the cereal mixture on the tray and flatten with a spatula. You may need to repeatedly grease the spatula since the mixture will be very sticky.
Let it cool to room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.
Cut into 12-24 pieces, depending on size.

I hope that helps! I'm sorry, but I don't really know when to put m&m's in them... I've never put any m&m's in there! :)

www.ricekrispies.com -- when were you born?
Since, apparently, you have no clue:

when you turn out the mixture, you also stir in any item you wish; like SMALL M&MS. Unless you want them on top, and THEN -- er -- you just sprinkle and press down on top!!!!!!!
