Unsalted Butter question?!

Question: A recipe for Chicken Piccata calls for unsalted butter. I only have salted butter and I don't really want to buy an entire pound of unsalted butter when I only need 6 tbsps. Can I use salted butter and just reduce the amount that I salt the chicken before cooking it? I would normally just do it, but the butter is for the sauce and I'm afraid it will turn out too salty.

i never use unsalted butter. its bland and expensive. AND regular butter is fine. dont even worry about reducing any salt. its so small its almost insignificant.

yeh its just a preferance hun use the salted xxx

No differance.

Im sure it will be fine unless you have to use loads of it. Like you said you could just reduce the salt elsewhere.

I would go get unsalted butter. If the recipe calls for it. Butter is a great deal saltier than you think.

You can use it, but taste the dish before you add any salt, as salted butter contains quite a bit of salt.

if you really want to get fancy you could clarify butter melt it down in small pan salt will come to top skim it off
