Hon, you can buy any food item that is not "hot" in most supermarkets, just make sure you keep to a budget just like with cash, so they last all month.

you get them to eat if u poor. I think

i think it varies by state.

Are you talking about the thing that you get for being on welfare? I think you could get any food that you wanted, but I'm not really sure.

Well you have to meet the finacial needs test and you have to go to deli that accepts food stamps.

Foodstamps (or like on a debit card) is based on your income and situation. See your local welfare department for information. You can use it for FOOD ONLY...no liquor, no magazines, cigarettes, etc.

with foodstamps you can buy any food item. No alcohol. it must be uncooked food. ( so you can go to papa murphy's) anywhere EBT is accepted is where you can spend your food stamp money.

You have to meet the criteria in order to be eligible to receive them. You can go to the same place you file for unemployment and all of that in order to sign up for them.

no idea i would like to know too.

you can buy pretty much any food item as long as it is not a prepared hot food like hot dogs at 7-11, or it cant be something you can heat and eat there at the store,, burritos, things like that

i unfortunately had to use them for a while. you can get deli stuff, as long as it's not hot things like chicken, or meatloaf. at least in ca that's the way it works. you can buy a truck full of twinkies with them, but you can't buy preheated food!!! go figure...

You need to get a job and some self-respect instead of looking for the quickest handout. There are many people on food stamps that in my opinion don't qualify, particularly if they have smoking, drinking and drug problems which drain money from the family budget. Unfortunately, not all parents put their children first, so that's why we have food stamps.

Aside from my opinions, your best resource would be the department of social welfare for your state. There are specific requirements to qualify for food stamps and if you lie, you go to jail (serves you right).

Beer and cigs if you know the right people , then trade em for soem good stuff .

If they receive food stamps, they should have gotten a list of foods that are okay to purchase with them. I know that eggs, cheese, milk, butter, etc. are all okay to purchase with food stamps. I am unsure about deli lunchmeat.

It all depends on the income that you have coming into your household and the number of people you have in your household. That's what qualify you, whether or not you will receive food stamps or not. Also, you can buy any kinds of food except cooked foods.

In Michigan you get just about everything you wanted excepted for tobacco, alchol, and hot deli items (like prepared chicken).

you can purchase food that is not cooked and of course no alcoholic beverages

You can buy anything that is edible, including soda, ect. No beer, booze, paper products, cleaning products, pet stuff. You could buy any meats, deli, a wedding cake if you had to. If you can eat it, you can use the stamps for it.
No swapping stamps, selling them or letting others use them, its illegal and you will get caught.

okay heres the low down on food stamp items:
any food products that have to be cooked, coffee, milk, tea, sugar, flour, candy, cokes, chips, frozen pizza, anything that has to be cooked
things that cannot be bought:
washing powders, bleach, tolet paper, paper plates, paper towels or any paper product.
nothing already cooked like mcdonalds, or any fast food or already prepared food,
however that does not include the deli area of the grocery store ham, bologna, cheese, those can be bought with food stamps

hope that helps!!

no cigs or booze r
