Cheese fondue?!

Question: Hi, I'd like to make cheese fondue for the first time for some company. Is it an appetizer or the whole meal? What would you serve in addition to it besides bread?
I've seen so many recipes, so if you'd like to pass on a personal fave, that would be great.
Thank you :))

CHEESE FONDUE WITH GARLIC BREAD

CHEESE FONDUE:

2 cans Cheddar cheese soup
1 block of sharp Cheddar cheese (chopped up or shredded)
White wine to taste

Mix all ingredients together in a slow cooker. Set temperature to low ingredients should thoroughly melt in one hour. Keep on low while serving.

GARLIC BREAD:

2 loaves frozen bread dough
1 stick butter
Garlic powder

Allow bread to "thaw" and partially rise on a lipped cookie sheet which has been greased. Work dough to thoroughly cover bottom of pan. Brush dough with melted butter and garlic powder combination. The amount of garlic powder is a matter of taste preference. Bake at 357 degrees until golden brown. Break into small pieces for dipping into cheese fondue.

Do you like crudites? Cut up some cauliflower, broccoli, carrot sticks, jicama, bell peppers, apples, almost anything is good with cheese. Be creative, use what you have in the veggie drawer.

For the Cheese fondue, the easiest recipe I have found is combining 2 1/2 lbs swiss american cheese with about a half of a bottle of white wine. Start with a good hunk of cheese and some of the wine and add more after the cheese starts to melt. Continue to stir and add until all the cheese is melted.

You can serve this with bread, bananas, apples, and any vegetables you like. If you want this to be the main course, you can add grilled chicken or other meats you would like (make sure they are cut into bite size pieces).

You can finish the meal with Chocolate fondue:
1 lb. chocolate (milk or semi-sweet, depends on what you like) & sweet red wine
follow melting instructions for cheese fondue.

serve with pound cake, cheesecake, bananas, strawberries, pineapple, marshmallows, nuts, etc...

Enjoy!!
