HELP PLEASE Can you deep fry food with a normal pot?!

Question: =/ Deep fry dango?

Answers: =/ Deep fry dango?

Absolutely. It's a little messy and dangerous but it can be done.

Just use a big enough pot so it doesn't boil over, and use enough oil so the temprature doesn't drop too much when you add the food. I also highly reccomend using a fryer thermometer, as it's hard to gauge the temprature without one. Or, fry a 1-inch cube of bread for about one minute and if it browns, you should be ok.

Yeah, just make sure that the pot is deep enough that it doesn't boil over when you put the uncooked food in it.

If your normal pot is large and heavy enough to handle the heat, then yes you can use it. Dutch ovens, woks, stew pans, all work well for deep frying. Been using them my whole life to fry with.

yeah! just boil some oil in a pot and drop whatever you're frying in!

It needs to a heavy, deep, wide pot. Only fill with oil to about 1/3 of the depth of the pot. If the oil starts to smoke, turn off the heat and cover with a heavy lid. DO NOT move the pot once the oil is heated.

yes you can, i do it all the time . i have a pot as a fryer

you can but it is very dangerous......make sure you watch it all the time.....dont walk away from it

no you need a deep fat fryer because you have to bring the oil very high in order to get the food done
