There are many remedies some work some don't.

A sore throat is an aweful feeling and it hurts too. Washing away the bacteris is one good way start the healing process.
Real nice hot chicken broth is very good to start the healing process.

If antibiotics are needed then take them too.

One thing that has always kept me fighting hard is when I know that I am sick and that my body is at war.
When your body is at war you will have hundreds of white blood cells being killed and they have to be replenished to keep the battle in your favor.
This is where vitamin C comes in real handy and take lots of it.
Also you need solid food as well to keep your strength and as mush as it hurts your throat you have to take it and swallow it down.

Drink plenty of water and lots of it, I mean lots of it. You need to pee every hour because the dead enemiy in your body has to be removed and that is the only way it comes out is in your urine and in your mucous that you cough out.

The water will purge your system keeping you healthy, strong and eventually you win the battle and the enemy is defeated.

Some people who get sick, won't eat, or drink enough fluids..they stay sick and it gets worse.

Do yourself a favor and help your body kick some butt on this illness and you will feel 100 times better when your cured.
