English muffin pizza's how to?!
Answers: How do i make the english muffin pizza's in a toaster oven? What tempature and how long leave in?
Here is my favorite way to make English Muffin Pizza:
Take a can of tomato paste (not sauce) and mix in decent amounts of garlic salt, oregano, and basil. Add in two packets of sweetner- it will enhance the tomato flavor. Spread it on your muffins, it will make enough sauce for probably 6-8 muffin halves. Then add whatever toppings you would like. I like onions, mushrooms, peppers, olives, and tomatoes. Top with cheese, I use mozzarella, Parmesan, and sometimes a little feta for a different flavor. Bake it in your toaster over at 425 degrees for about 15 minutes.
3 english muffins Thomas'— split
8 ounces tomato sauce small can Del Monte
3 ounces cheese part-skim mozzarella
onion powder
garlic powder
oregano dried
salt & pepper
red pepper flakes
cheese Pecorino romano Locatelli— freshly grated
3 sprigs basil fresh italian — cleaned
We start by placing the six halves of english muffins in the toaster oven and toast for a couple of minutes. This precooks the muffins slightly and helps to crisp the bottom before we place the pizza toppings on top.
Meanwhile, we open the can of sauce and cut the mozzarella into thin slices.
We remove the english muffins from the toaster oven and place on a large dinner plate. We spoon on some of the sauce, being careful not to put too much. Since this is not a homemade sauce, sprinkling onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper, perks the sauce up. We top the sauce and spices with the mozzarella and add a little more sauce on top. We use about a third of the small can of sauce. We put the remaining sauce in a resealable plastic container and refrigerate. The pizzas are put on a piece of foil that will fit in the toaster oven and baked at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes.
When the cheese is melted and the muffin is at the desired crispness, we remove the pizzas to a serving plate. The pizzas are served with more dried oregano, red pepper flakes, Locatelli, and basil torn on top.
for ease I toast them first. Then I put on some jar sauce, mozzarella cheese, sprinkle some parmagian cheese and add pepperoni or nothing or whatever you wish. Then I put them in the oven at 350 for about 10 mins or so until the cheese is melted. Just watch it and remove when the cheese is melted. You made me just want some, lol, they are a quick and easy snack for sure.
just take your english muffin and spread some pizza quick sauce on it ....top it off with your fave toppings such as cheese, mushrooms or anything else you like....put it in your preheated toaster oven and i just watch it till the cheese gets bubbly and then enjoy....simple but good!
