What can you use instead of pie in a pie toss.?!

Question: The pie toss is for our boy scouts halloween carnival and we have limited supplies so we are trying to figure out the cheapest thing to use besides whip cream. I thought about mud pies or even pudding made with water instead of milk any other ideas?

put some baked beans in the pie plates.... or any kind of cooked bean with like ketchup on top. wet cooked spagetti noodles might be nasty enough to do the trick??? Firm jello wipped with a fork could also be interesting.. hope this helps

Cow pies. No seriously. I live in the most rural part of America you can find. We do things like bet on where the horse will poop during a parade.

You seriously take cow droppings and let them harden. Then you see who can toss one further.

It's hokey I know and believe me when I first moved up here from Chicago suburbs I was mortified but now it's just, well, better than hearing sirens going off all the time and wondering if your family is OK. If my older sister, who still lives inIllinois, saw this post, she would come up here with men in little white coats. She said if I ever started thinking this kind of thing was normal, she would have me committed.

Pie shaped tin pans filled with shaving cream, or whipped cream. The tin pans can be used over and over and can be refilled easily. The 2 are harmless and can be easily cleaned up also.

shaving cream ? ?

How about a water balloon toss?

an aluminum pie pan filled w/ no-name Cool-Whip

Other than an imitation whipped topping, there really aren't many cheaper alternatives out there. You are still better off using something edible in the "pies". Some might suggest shaving cream as an alternative, but that stuff can be irritating if not downright toxic if ingested.

What's a pie toss without pies...don't be cheap, it's for charity.

You could get some cheap frozen cream pies at a store like Aldi, sometimes they even donate things for nonprofit groups if asked about it. Wouldn't hurt to check. If no Aldi, check with a locally owned store like Jewel-Osco.
You have to thaw them to use.
