Rice Pudding made with buttermilk?!


Question: Okay, I have leftover rice, and I figured I'd try this recipe from Allrecipes

I like to tinker with recipes, and I have powdered buttermilk. I was thinking it might be good in rice pudding? Any thoughts?

Wow I never thought of that...buttermilk in rice pudding sounds wonderful! I am going to follow your lead and give it a try:-) Thanks!

you'll still need a 'thickening' agent how about also using coconut milk powder .. say half coconut to buttermilk (dissolve the coconut milk powder in the buttermilk) and add to the rice pudding half way through cooking; the buttermilk should stop the coconut milk from 'splitting'
