Making a chocolate house?!


Question: I'm trying to make a chocolate house. I have the melting equipment, but I don't know what kind of chocolate I could use to melt. Just some cheep chocolate, and is there online story I could purches them?

You don't indicate what your skill level is, so it's difficult to know what advice to give you. There are numerous websites where you can purchase chocolate, but none are cheap. In working with chocolate, you have to remember that it needs to be tempered, so that the chocolate comes out smooth and shiny, and has a distinct crisp snap to it when you bend it. Most of my chocolate work is done with Guittard chocolate callets, 58% or 72%.

Here is a website with information on how to work with tempered chocolate. It's not as easy as you might think. And I'm speaking from experience. I am a pastry chef and I own my own bakery. Chocolate is very delicate. Good luck!

Im pretty sure you could just use the melting chocolat from wal-mart in the baking section.
