That is a perfectly acceptable solution! Congratulations on discovering this very common time-saving measure. There should be absolutely no health risk whatsoever with this plan. It would probably work well to be sure you've put each evening's meal in individual containers so that you only have to warm up each person's meal in your microwave - quick, efficient and leaves plenty of time to play with the baby!

Healthy Frozen meals or okay. I perfer Healthy Choice because it has the BIG 3: Low calories, Low fat and Low sodium. To enhance the taste, I usually keep a small bottler of Black or red pepper or some other form of dried herbs (without salt, of course) in my desk drawer. Lean cuisine usually has more sodium. Whichever one is your favorite, just make sure that each serving has no more than 600mg of sodium. Hope this helps

They aren't really bad, but fresh stuff is WAY better. Frozen meals have less nutrients and tend to have more calories and sodium. I would advise to eat them sparingly.

If you make your own food and then freeze it, that's fine. It's the pre-packaged, processed frozen foods that are not so good for you.

Cooking, freezing, then reheating to eat changes the food some so that it might not taste as good. But, there aren't any real health risks. It sounds like you're freezing it promptly. You're probably at least as well off with frozen and reheated food as you are with prepackaged frozen food.

If you do that sort of thing a lot, I recommend getting a vacuum sealer. It will keep your food from getting freezer burn. The food will keep much better that way. Sealers like this are a great deal:

there ok just don't go over 630 mg of sodium
