a pork loin is that big log shaped piece of pork meat you see at the butcher. It is as long as a rack of babyback ribs but it is boneless and about 4 inches wide.

You can buy the whole loin to serve a crowd or you can buy Loin Roasts, which are about 3 pounds each. They are just sections cut from the whole loin. You usually cook them by baking (or roasting) them inthe oven, or in a slow cooker.

Noun 1. pork tenderloin - pork loin muscle
tenderloin, undercut - the tender meat of the loin muscle on each side of the vertebral column

its the best part of a hog and i like to roll it in fry magic and brown it off and then put in the oven at 350 for about 1and half hours very very good .
