Tanya C (above) has the same recipe that I have and use often. I make it quite a bit for my co-workers and they love it! It's delicious once it's baked but it's also good, licked off your fingers while you're trying to crumble the goey mixture on top of the apples! My 2 yr old loves it!!

This one is really yummy and easy to make:

Fruit Mixture
4 c peeled, chopped apple
1/3 c sugar
1 T cornstarch

Carmelized Brown Sugar Topping
1? c all-purpose flour
? c packed dark brown sugar
? t salt
? c unsalted butter, chilled, cut up

Heat oven to 375°F. Spray a 5-x-7-cup ceramic or glass baking dish or 8-inch square or round baking pan with cooking spray. In large bowl, gently stir fruit, sugar, and cornstarch. Spoon into baking dish/pan.

In another bowl, combine topping ingredients and mix with pastry blender or by hand briefly, until somewhat mixed and crumbly.

Sprinkle fruit mixture with topping. Squeeze some of the topping together with your hand to form larger clumps.

Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until top is golden brown and fruit juices bubble heavily at the edges toward the center. Serve warm or at room temperature. Can top with ice cream (and caramel topping too, if you like).
