The secret to a good American-style hamburger is to use absolutely fresh ground beef and as little additives as possible. Personally, I grind my own beef from round steak as I don't trust the preground stuff.

You should use ground round that is not too lean as too little fat makes for a dry burger. As for additives, for each 1-lb meat, I blend in 2 finely chopped cloves of garlic, 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, 1 tbs. Worchestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper.

I use an outdoor grill. For safe cooking, be sure you use a food thermometer to verify an internal temperature of 140 deg F for a medium burger. But, unless you grind your own beef, I suggest well-done (160 def F) as one can never be sure about ground meat today.

Don't put any barbecue sauce on your burgers as it distorts the taste of the meat and its seasonings. Be sure your grill temperature is about 400 deg F.

You just get ground beef add in some: bread crumbs about a tbspn per pound, 1 egg, salt, pepper, onion powder, you can use onion and green peppers if you want. Then just shape them and cook em........yummy

mix seasoning and onions with the ground beef and make into patties and fry

First off you need a cow, slice off a hunk and jump all over it , run over it with the car. Now you have hamberger. Hope that helps.

Here's how I do it, anyway: Shape the ground beef into patties about 4-5 inches in diameter and about 1/ 2 an inch thick. Season with salt and pepper to taste (I also like to add a dash of Woscectershire sauce and a pinch of chili powder) then just toss them on the grill. You should only flip them once. I can't tell you how long because I don't know about your grill or how well done you like them. Enjoy!

you can do several things....

you can add some dry onion soup mix or you can chop onions and grate cheese mix in a patty out....

you can fix them like meatloaf, by adding ketchup, eggs, onions, crakers...patty out and bake

or do them plain and have a beef burger and add your toppings on the outside.

If you are serious.
Take the beef and just make a patty shape and grill them. Add nothing to it unless you want a meatloaf taste.
Serve with pickles, let. and tom.

NO Clue on how to make a hamburger ! wow.
