What is your favourite meal your mum has ever cooked for you?!
Answers: My mum is a cook by trade so anything she cooks is good but she makes a mean fish pie.
I can't even tell you what it is called, because it is something my mother made up. She boiled a pan of potatoes, mashed them up (with a small amount of butter, no milk), let them cool.
While they were boiling she fried some mince and finely chopped onion added a little oxo stock and thickened it with cornflour.
Then she dusted her hands with flour and took a handful of the cold potato mashed potato, made it into a large ball, made a hole in the centre with her fingers and filled it with the mince mixture, she then plugged the opening with more mashed potato, she then lowered the ball (using a spoon) into a pre heated chip pan and left it until crisp and brown, believe me unbeatable filling meal.
my mum makes an very nice Shepard's pie
Every Sunday afternoon my mum used to bake apple pie and little coconut buns. She never weighed the ingredients, just threw everything into a bowl and hey presto. She been dead now 10 years and one thing i regret is that i took it for granted and never learned how to bake like her.Bit silly really.Just wish i could bake like mum on Sundays

My favorite dish my mom made and that I always asked for was her salmon loaf. She was a great 1960's cook. Shame I can't find a recipe like hers.
My mother hasn't cooked for me for decades, but she always had a good Lamb roast for Sunday lunch.
Chicken stew and dumplings....I mean, nobody but nobody cooks or would think of cooking chicken stew and dumplings these days but it is just delicious beyond words...mmmmmm
My mom is a great cook. I am lucky to say that I had home cooked meals 5-6 times a week growing up. She makes her own spaghetti sauce which is delicious, as well as an cinnamon apple pie with crumb topping and a cajun chicken alfredo pasta with tomato basil pasta. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
My mum use to do a mean roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and afterwards she did a really lovely apple pie and custard!! yum - shame I grew up and got married!! lol
My mom really good homemade chicken and dumplings. She made it all from scratch. Rarely can you find something made from scratch that tastes good and is mouth watering.

Her roast potatoes are to die for but what I really love is on boxing day she gets the turkey carcass and makes a fantastic turkey soup. She's never given me the recipe and I have tried to copy it but it never turns out the same. She's going away this Christmas so I won't get any this year unless she gives me the recipe!!

She does the most wonderful chicken, mushroom pie and the home pastry just melts in your mouth. Sunday roasts are lovely, I don’t know how she does it. Everything she cooks tastes so good
