What should I add to this recipe to give it more flavor?!
12 oz Whole grain rotini noodles
1 can reduced fat cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1.5 cups mexican style shredded cheese
.5 lb diced turkey
1 can mexican style corn with bell peppers, drained
basically, you cook the pasta, then combine the soup, milk, half of the cheese, corn, and pasta. Place in a lightly greased pan, cover with the rest of the cheese, and bake in a 375 degree oven for about 25 minutes.
I tried this recipe tonight and it was okay, but it didn't have a whole lot of flavor. I thought about adding some crushed tortilla chips to the top (underneath the layer of cheese). Any suggestions on what else I can add to give it a little more flavor (without making it spicy because my 16 month old son needs to be able to eat it as well.)
Thanks to all who answer!

I'd add some green pepper, onions, and stewed tomatos, and maybe some corn. I'd also definitely add some crushed tortilla chips.
Throw in a can of mild rotel, or some salsa.
I like to add some poultry seasoning when I use cream of chicken soup. Maybe start with 1/2 a Tablespoon (1-1/2 tsp) to start with and see if it is too spicy for your son.
HTH : )
Garlic. In my house garlic is used in most dishes
Believe it - add about 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 of nutmeg. The spice and nutty aroma and flavor will add that
zest. Also drive people crazy trying to figure out what the
special flavoring you added.
A pkg of mild taco seasoning
maybe some diced garlic or garlic powder, season salt, and if u like spicy red pepper or chopped jalapenos
I would use a packet of taco spices. Mix it in with the meat and put everything in a casserole dish.
Try adding shallots and lemon zest.
I sometimes use thyme with lemon juice and lemon zest.
I like the idea of the crushed torilla chips. How about some black olives and sour cream.
I'd add some mild Rotel tomatoes and 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
Well I usually add onions to everything for flavour.
You could try chopped sweet bell peppers too.
But that might be a little hard for the little guy to digest.
I also like mushrooms;-} but try some chopped celery.
Try a little cumin. That's a regular in mexican cookin
All the above would be good. The taco seasoning sounds good and I would add some cumin just to give it more of a Mexican flavor.
sauteed onions, celery, and garlic
celery salt, cilantro, ground pepper
Nothing is complete without onions!
